In July 2025, Arctic Vets will independently row 1,000 kilometers across the Arctic Ocean unsupported and non-stop from Tromsø, Norway to Longyearbyen, Svalbard.  Average air temperature will be 3 - 7°C (37.4 - 44.6°F) and interestingly, the sea temperature will be similar - an average of 4.4°C (40°F).  Hypothermia will be a constant risk during the row. The Midnight Sun will provide constant daylight, dramatically impacting the rowers already disrupted sleep patterns.  The Arctic Vets can expect to experience severe wind during their crossing, forcing them to fight from being pushed towards Greenland or back to Norway.
